  Popped, poured and serially tasted over a two-hour interval, this medium garnet wine offers an enticing aromatic profile of black raspberries, dried cranberries, clove, savory herbs, cocoa and dusty earth. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic and without any heat from its 14.5% alcohol, it delivers flavors in line with the aromas, wrapping them with plentiful fine-grained tannins and a judicious aliquot of oak. Layered and dense on the mid-palate, it moves on to a lengthy, lifted finish. This is quintessential Brunello that is just entering its drinking window. There is no doubt that it will show beautifully all the way up to its twentieth birthday (and possibly beyond). If you choose to pop the cork now, give it an hour or more of air. Drink now-2036.

  이전과 같은 평가. 준수한 BdM. 하지만 요금 브루넬로가 점점 매력을 잃어가는 느낌. 와인 얼치기의 주정과도 같은 말이지만 투스카니 와인 전체가 정체성의 위기를 격고 있는건 아닐까 생각해본다. 지난 몇년간 슈퍼투스칸, 멜로, 카쇼, 끼안티 등등 분명 잘 다듬어진 와인들이지만 어느 순간부터 물린다는 생각을 지울 수가 없다. 피에몬테와 비교하면 더더욱 그렇다. 그저 내 입맛이 변한 것일 수도.

  One of the tannic 2016s. Bouquet and palate both display adequate dark cherry to satisfy this lover of Brunello. But the tannins are a bit massive now, even after a four hour decant. I'd wait awhile before consuming another.

  약 2시간의 브리딩 후 그 섬세함이 빛을 발한다. 최상급의 BDM은 아닐지라도 균형과 신선함이 입을 무척 즐겁게해준다. 코어가 좀 비는 것 같은 구조감은 아쉽지만 산지오베제의 매력을 잘 보여주는 와인.
