  • This is one of the great value bottles of any wine you can buy, even aged it remains fresh with that nutty expression and fruit, it has perfect balance great harmony and is just a delight, so undervalued to be almost criminal, but long may it continue.

  • TORR SHERRY, FINO
Stiltypisk, jästig, frisk smak med inslag av gula äpplen, mandel, torkade örter och citrus.

  • Saca de Abril 2018. Shocking bouquet of melon rind, chocolate, musk, and chalk immediately under the cork. In the glass it gathers reflections of ten-year old le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Grease pencil. Bay leaf. Brittle preservations of Sicilian lemons. There is a contrast with standard bottles of Inocente in its taste and texture, including bottles of a similar age. I attribute this to the format, the long cork closure, and double wax dip. It wants air. For opening and pouring, I'd almost rather drink a slightly stressed 375ml. This drink is in a doughy, naptime state–or so it is initially. After a few hours, the acidity rouses. After a day (or two) the ensemble is in tune and keeping time. Latex evolves into ful medames. Chamomile becomes puffball mushroom. All the time the texture is elegant in its stride, and sinuous in its drape. Valdespino Inocente is a great fortune for our age. 94+
