85 - 100 year old Syrah. Northern Rhone profile. Not granite but very rocky limestone. Aged for 20 months in new oak 500 L demi-mud. And wound up and structured and powerful as well. Intense. Just opened and needs time.

Really fresh and lively Syrah/Grenache blend. Big, explosive fruit and excellent acidity/sweetness balance. Enjoyable but for me lacking in depth or intrigue. Too young - I need more evolution to excite me.
