  • Light and delicate hay color. Bright minerality and citrus. Fresh and bright. Could stand on its own for an apperatif. But this will evolve nicely with time. Just a bit too early.

  • Served second in a flight with two other 2019’s (Leflaive Clavoillon, Bonneau du Martray C-C), the Faiveley shows ripe lemon citrus with medium plus oak giving the palate a lot of presence, and tension. Shows crisp medium acidity. Somewhat creamy and lactic, it’s structured but fairly ripe and round, with some tannic sizzle on its long and resounding finish. The stylish oak may be a bit much for some, but this is the first Faiveley white I’ve had in a long time, and it exceeded expectations. Have come across quite a few Corton-Charlemagne’s that lack personality or energy, and this is definitely not one of those.
