Lots of interesting tertiary stuff going on here to the point that I could easily have guessed this as a decade older than it is. The aroma is pungent with gamey scents and oiled leather, true Corton. The fruit is glossy, but not especially primary, and the oak is subtle.
Youthful, exuberant and densely packed with notes of black fruit and earth. Still in its open phase and delicious so go for it if you have several. A great wine in the making and will be fun to see it evolve over 20 or 30 years.
Tasted out of magnum at a birthday party. To me it seems absurd and something I would never contemplate drinking today, much less buying and opening –a 2019 Bouchard Le Corton. Very surprised by how enjoyable it was so young, perhaps due to a slightly sweet edge. The potential is great. I will be dead by the time it is truly ready to drink.

Impressive for a young Corton. Darker fruited but well poised. Has a nice mixed of spice to get this considerable depth ans just a hint of oak on the back end. Quite forward and lush though there’s tannin on the finish. On a day of 1er and satellite villages this sole grand cru stood out for its depth and structure. On the powerful side. On night 2 was showing more influence but not too intrusive.

Super impressive wine here. The nose shows ripened red fruits, like cherry and red plum, along with a bit of secondary notes, vanilla and leather on a blanket of finely polished, small grain tannins rendering an impression of a slightly older wine. But it sure is fresh and delicious. I don’t think this one will ever shut down. Let me know if it does..
