A little closed and tannic at first, but a few hours in a decanter did wonders. Aromas of red fruit, roses, licorice, cloves and a little caramel. Lovely texture, medium+ body, bright acidity and some form tannins that softened with air. Long and complex. 2017 might not be as good a vintage as 2016 but this wine is nonetheless very very good and you don’t have to feel too worried about waiting for it in the cellar.

From tasting of Barolos, various vintages and estates. Showed nicely after some time in the glass. Nice balance, soft tannins, a good pick to enjoy on the younger side.

I tasted the wines several times, from barrel sample to bottle.
30% Whole cluster. Rich and seductive aromas with huge roses that comes towards you along with red concentrated red berries, raspberries, white Pepper, other spices and hints of licorice and tar. Pretty full-bodied wine spreads out with this nice surprisingly fresh touch that delights with juicy cherries, raspberries, salty tone, slightly tea-like tone, pepper and firm, yet balanced finish. The alcohol is well integrated and the acid lives. This a very good and fresh Barolo from Cogno in a warmer vintage.

Walkabout tasting, no detailed notes. Light color, nose of tobacco, roses. light bodied, tannins managed well. Elegant

Wine Spectator 40th Anniversary; 10/21/2021-10/23/2021 (Marriott Marquis): Fun wine to try as this is a vineyard I've enjoyed with a lot of other producers. Enjoyable.
