The 2019 version is actually 100% Pinot noir from Ige northwest of Macon. No spritz or funk in this bottle which showed delicate light red berries, cranberry and raspberries, subtle spice and a faint orange rind character. Barely discernible tannin and bright acidity , this barely evolved over 3 hours and I would think better in a few years time?

Incredibly exciting stuff from Ganevat - mix of Gamay from Beaujolais and Chardo from Jura! Very light and shiny bright in appearance. Nose is complex and vibrant - lots of red berries - cherries, strawberries, forest raspberries. Superb purity on light-bodied palate, refreshing, almost tropical feeling, razorbladish acidity. WOW!
