  Very bright with high acid. Citrus and lemon notes, but not super complex.

  100% Chardonnay
  from parcels around Savigny-les Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses and
  the Hautes Cotes de Nuits with mainly limestone soils, and
  vines of average age 35 yrs.
  Whole bunch pressed, lightly crushed.
  Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in barrels,
  "sur lies" without "batonnage".
  Pneumatic press.
  Aged 15 months in used french oak barrels
  fined and lightly filtered.
  12% Abv.
  Marchand-Tawse is the collaboration of Pascal Marchand with
  another Canadian, Moray Tawse of the Tawse Winery in Niagara.
  
  A(ccuray)=2: Pale lemon/straw. Aromatic vibrant varietal.
  B(alance)=2: Distinctive fruit with fine structure.
  C(omplexity)=2: Citrus, white fruits, oak vanilla, mineral.
  D(epth)=1: Lifted mouthfeel. Good length and finish.

  This is fine, for its level
  Orchard fruits and pear and citrus oil on the nose
  Ripe but not overripe like the 2018 vintage
  Decent length
  A workmanlike Bourgogne blanc
