One hour decant. Opaque magenta color. Anise and dark fruit on the very tight nose. Smooth, dry palate. Firm tannins on the longish finish.
The rating is almost blind because this is not yet in it’s drinking window. It’s a bit more open and perhaps not as impressive as the Harbison, but it’s hard to judge. Both bottles were gifts from Mr. Bevan himself. It was fun meeting him for the first time (and I owe him a good Pinot). Thank you sir!
