We really like Couche's wines, they always deliver a lot of pleasure. Apples dominate the wine, sweet ripe apples and baked ones as well; lots of pineapple, cherries and blackberries; lemons, wets stones, gunpowder, sea salt and white flowers; a hint of chalk; with some air the wine improved a lot, and showed a lot more expressive with notes of butter, caramel and brioche as well.
Dense and creamy texture, small bubbles, lovely acidity that feels a little bit young. Very enjoyable young wine that for sure will age graciously for a couple of years.
