Not my style at all. Loads of vanilla that can't possibly have all come from natural oak barrels. Sweet blackberry jam. Can't drink this with food because it is so distracting by the strong sweet (cloying?) flavors. Somebody apparently loves this, so I hope they enjoy it.

Open and poured into glass. Deep raspberry color, nose of dark cherry, spice, blackberry jam, French vanilla bean and a hint of mint. Delicious fruit on the palate, very smooth with faint tannin at the back. I am a huge fan of merlot and this is a great everyday wine , excellent QPR and will be going into my cellar. Gallo utilizes an unusual varietal called Teroldego, which as billed adds a touch of tannin tartness to a mass market bottling. Some cheese and apple, a full glass and Chelsea/Spurs here I come!
