Outstanding Syrah from Argot. Deep purple in color, inky and impenetrable to see through the glass. Palate coating but not over extracted or cumbersome. Great fruit, rich and hedonistic. Still maintains balance and harmony. Loved this from beginning to end.

Lots of smoky oak hits the nose, then a sweet rich but also tannic mouthful of blueberries. Quite raw and very young. Will be better in 5 years. Medium finish and straightforward.

Beautiful deep purple in color. Glass-staining and incredible taste, heft and balance. A big wine but in harmony and long lasting finish. Dark berries predominate, blackberries, ripe mulberries, and rich concentration. It is offset by some savory herbal and spice notes. Very tasty and a long road ahead, but drinking exceptionally well now.

90 min decant. Nearly opaque purple color. Blackberry, plum, and pink peppercorn on the nose. Smooth, dry palate, with pixelated acidity. Soft tannins on the medium long finish.
Like most Syrahs, this has a bit of a savory edge. It’s also quite rich. It is Syrah that is Argot’s strength in my opinion, but the owner/winemaker would say it’s Chardonnay and/or Pinot. He’s adept with each varietal, but Syrah is especially noteworthy.

Tasted like Northern Rhone.
