  • This is a great every day bottle of wine. We let enjoyed the bottle over an hour and half and could notice it to really start to open up in the end. For the next bottle I am going to decant for at least 30 min to an hour before tasting. The nose is heavy with cassis and berries. The first taste is so subtle and soft in your mouth that it takes a little air to bring out the greatness that it is hiding. (Again, we did not decant this bottle.) We enjoyed this with a light balsamic pasta, which actually paired very well.

  • Decanted for about 1/2 hour before serving with french onion soup and pasta carbonara. Held up perfectly. Smooth and velvety. Hints of currant, tobacco and berries. Strong tannins and a lingering finish. A great value and a definite buy again.

  • This is such a smooth bottle of wine. The complexity of the flavors kept me guessing but the velvet smoothness was immediately evident. I let decant for about an hour and enjoyed with pizza...yes, pizza (i know...simpleton). Regardless, I am very happy with this selection and hope the the 5 remaining continue to get better with age!

  • Served with mooshu pork and schezuan green beans. The spices of the food did nothing to this wine. The herbal aromas started the experience which was completed with a smooth finish filled with hints of blueberry or raspberry. Smooth, full bodied and complex, however, still a little young i think. I will purchase more of this and let sit.
