Opened this bottle over the weekend and drank it with some visiting friends in Michigan. Served slightly chilled. Moderately sweet for a kabinett. This had a solid core of fruit with crisp apple and pear flavors. Had a bit of spice to it as well which reminded me a bit of a gewurztraminer. Drank it over 2 days and it held up well. About the same on each day. Best part is that I only paid $3 for this. 87 points.

Terry Theise Tasting - 2006 Rieslings (Minneapolis): Like the Selbach-Oster, this was made with Auslese-level must weight fruit, and is an Auslese trapped in a Kabinett's body. But this was better, crisper, and lighter, and more plausibly a Kabinett, IMHO. Fig and melon flavors, with good complexity and balance. Interesting earth/acid grip on the finish. Very tasty.
