  • Nose seems a little shut down, but there are aromas of orchard fruit, sweet cheese and damp wood. Not terribly complex but remarkable balance between fruit and acidity with a beautifully integrated stone core. Slightly vegetal on the finish. Could do with some a bottle age perhaps. But I think there is no question this is the best example of Lafon's exquisite style of white burgundy that you will find for less than $20.
