It started out being very oak heavy on the nose as well as palate. Fruit was muted. But at the 2 hour mark after decanting, it seemed to settle down. The fruit was perceptibly brighter and oak was less overwhelming. Blackberry, raspberry, some cinnamon.

Pulled the cork last night. On day 2 this remains extremely dark, deep and primal. Tar, crushed stone and freshly tanned leather on the nose. Dry and acidic across the palate, this has potential but I'll let 6-9 months pass before popping another bottle. Potential to add 1-3 points w time but 88-89 today.
