Light, ruby red color. The complex nose is a lovely blend of cherry, barnyard, and minerals. In the mouth, there is pure cherry fruit, barnyard, earth, and minerals. Structurally, there is excellent acidity that provides verve to the fruit, and the tannins, while rounded, are still evident. The finish is long and pure. Overall, this is an excellent example of a well developed burgundy.

This was a nice surprise for a relatively inexpensive Burgundy. Quite funky upon opening, but that blew off to reveal a solid Pinot, with cherry fruit and a nice bit of earthiness (soil, mushrooms). Had held up very well for a Santenay over 10 years old.

Very pure, fresh red fruit; good underlying acid support. Nice high notes to the nose. Tasted blind, I guessed Chambolle. A good value at $27ish retail.

Some raspberry and rhone spice and lots of grip, but at the expense of pinot purity.
