Bold, markedly ripe-fruited on the nose with a bit of a earthy or roasted character. Lots of sweet red cherry here but also notes of herbs, tobacco and sweet spiciness. Not sure if I would go Burgundy with the nose, takes me to Italy more than a bit to be honest. On the palate there is quite a bit of concentration, it is mouthfilling for sure, but it doesn’t get heavy or clumsy at all and the texture is pretty firm. While ripe the flavors are not super intense and it tastes properly dry and savory so this is way more drinkable than one might expect and finishes quite clean and a bit tight. The flavor profile is attractively red-fruited and juicy and showcases good, judicious use of oak. Again I don’t know if I necessarily think Burgundy when drinking this but I think it has plenty of charm and an interesting style and sports a good balance. A very successful effort that would also appeal to people who are not the biggest Burgundy fans.

Nice Bourgogne. Enjoyed this with empanadas (lamb, duck) and entraña. Very enjoyable, nice medium tannins, higher alcohol (14%) but didn’t feel too hot, and medium/higher acidity.
Richer fruits, not quite jammy, but not fresh fruit either.

Great QPR, well made domaine-bottled Bourgogne. Lovely on the nose, balanced on the palate. Drinkable now but I've got a few more to see how this evolves, have a feeling this is one of those rare Bourgogne-level bottles that could last 10yrs+.
