Double decanted 3 hours ahead. Solid bottle for the age it is. Red fruits on the pallet. Would expect this to improve with time and merit a higher score.

Two hour decant (only needed one). Deep dark vivid ruby magenta color. Plum, blackberry, marmalade, red velvet cake, pie crust, and subtle walnut and mushroom. Dry, plush palate, with fine, dusty acidity. Full, bright tannins on the longish finish.
Very tasty, with great texture, although the fruit is a bit syrupy. There were some oddly aged notes, which was confusing. Finally, only the marmalade and the subtle aged notes provided balance to this otherwise confectionery CS. Very enjoyable now, but I don’t know that it will improve any.
Very good wine. Super extracted with an overwhelming flavor of chocolate. It was worth the $185 I paid for it but not worth what Mike and Leah are charging now.
