  Decanted several hours. Dark black fruit, dust and eucalyptus nose. The alcohol is still present but the wine is more rich than hot. Tannins are fine and acidosis balanced. Rich and delicious with a classic nebbiolo nose. Dark core, no pale rim and doesn't seem to be fading. Even better the next day. I don't think the alcohol will fully resolve for several years, if ever, but there is enough fruit and body to wait. Very enjoyable.

  Opened a few hours ahead. Beautifully balanced. Beef broth and root vegtables on the nose, massive notes of celery, root vegtables and tobacco, with an elegant, refined finish and relaxed tannins. Ready to drink now.
