  Deep inky ruby. Interesting notes of old world winemaking (more Brett than VA) and ripe old-world-level concentrated dark red fruit, licorice, and subtle dried hers. Overall an enjoyable wine. At least initially, QPR may be ever so slightly on the low side.

  Das schier undurchdringlich dunkle Rot im Glas wirkt im Nachhinein wie ein Vorbote auf den kommenden Ansturm im Finale. In der Nase animalisch, fast schon wild und doch gleichzeitig fein. Rote Früchte, Kirsche, Brombeere, Kräuter, Würze, Pfeffer, Veilchen, Leder, rotes Fleisch, dunkle Schokolade. Am Gaumen erstaunlich frisch, fruchtig, kräftig, dezent balsamisch, Säure medium und Tannine präsent. Im Abgang blasen letztere dann sowas von zum Angriff. Brutal! Das Zahnfleisch zieht sich panisch zurück, die gesamte Mundhöhle verwandelt sich schlagartig in eine Wüstenei. Viel Potential, aktuell unbedingt mit einigem Vorlauf dekantieren, am besten aber für ein paar Jahre im Keller vergessen.

  Some dark fruit, bitter almond, leather on the nose. Quite strong tannins, could benefit from additional aging.
