  • Love it. Some age has helped. Buy more

  • The best bottle of this vintage that I've had. Age seems to be firming it up and focusing it a bit. It's always had plenty of fruit, but now it's showing more mineral structure and floral elements. I'm really curious what another year or two will bring, although it's quite good now.

  • Yvonne is what I would call a "summer wine". But I could not resist the temptation (in late February). Pure sunshine in a glass, with a wiff of lemon zest and hints of Canary melon, more or less the same on the palate, with the addition of almonds. Slightly mineral and lots of acidity, but a smooth wine, overall.

Personally I would have preferred that it had more body weight. I don't think it will gain in that regard. Over time, a little perphaps. I can't wait to try (two) South African chenin blancs - for comparison - sometime during the summer.

    ____________

  • Medium intensity and lemon color.
Nose- medium + intensity, and primary aromas of green fruit, citrus, stone fruit. Secondary aromas from. lees and malolactic fermentation primarily. All well integrated.
High acidity and medium intensity and body. Long finish! Flavors of the palete similar to the nose. This is I high quality wine that will improve with aging as well!
