Quick decant. Off-putting nose full of barnyard and funk, with underlying incense. Quick hit of wild strawberry then a splash of sour red fruit and cough drop notes. Interesting finish with sinewy tannins, bright red cherry, cranberry and earth. Again, it improves with time but the nose is hard to get past.

Ça pinote au nez, beau fruit frais.Très serré en bouche avec des tanins présents, il fait plus Givry que Jura, sûrement un style apporté par le proprio bourguignon. Acidité un peu trop présente en finale, un bon vin à pris élevé.

PnP. Nose is a bit off-putting, with bloody raw meat and wet, rotten leaves with a tart red cherry component. Things improve on the palate with an intense beam of tart cherry underlaid with mineral acidity. Fine tannins, cherry, blood orange, and other citrus notes on the crisp, crackling finish. Improved in the glass after an hour. Try decanting.
