Nose of pear, green apple, alone vera, and honey. Golden raisins, overripe pear, honey and unripe peach fruit on the palate. Candied ginger, more honey, and ripe golden fruit with a just a little citrus acidity and a hint of peaches. Very nice.

Definite highlight of a recent tasting with Bobby. This is a truly remarkable Chardonnay from the Ordaz vineyard (which apparently is being replanted). The oak is just right on this one, with some subtle toast overtones, but it’s all in the right place. A beautiful overall clarity is the hallmark of this Chardonnay. Apple, lime blossom, some light biscuit savoriness. The balance is impeccable, and it would not be out of place in a lineup of better white Burgundies.
