Tuesday Night Double Blind $40+: Still a little fruit but fading fast, lots of soy, not the most pleasurable of drinks; drink now if you still have some.

Frankly, a terrible brunello and a real example of why poor quality wine pumped full of crappy oak will never hold out promise with age. Cloudy, bitter, weak and disjointed - not nice!

Leather, liquorice root, fennel and clove. A powerful punch of acidity on the end alongside some full bodied stewed fruit. This is decent enough considering what I paid but hardly an advertisement for ageing ones brunellos. Little vibrancy and quite a bit of musky oak. 89

Good berry fruit flavor, but had a bitterness under taste after 2 hours of decanting. (part of the old cellar finds). Way past time

Mellow, tart, tannic. Could still use some years in the cellar, but opens up after about a 30 minute time in glass. Good, not great.
