Really nice wine. A bit reductive but as already mentioned not overwhelming or detracting. Like, citrus on the nose. Very crisp clean palate with flavors of apple lime, lemon. Nice finish with almost a salty characteristic. I think the acid is what does it for me. More pronounced on day 2. Tasty.
Prep: Decanted for 2 hours prior to first taste Glassware: Grassl Cru
Less reductive on the nose than many of Seth's other 2019s. Aromas of candied lime peel, dried orange, flint, and sea breeze are prominent, with occasionally some green apple and pear that can be coaxed with further aeration in the glass. Upon tasting there are delicate citrus, pear, underripe pineapple, and graham cracker notes beautifully interwoven with chalk and steel minerals. Like the other 2019s, the wine is fresh and vibrant on the palate, with great balance of fruit, acidity, and minerality. Though the mineral tones build and firm up over the wine's long finish, they remain refined and poised. Another knockout wine from Seth!
Another great showing from morgen long! Lots of bright citrus slight reductive note, wet stone notes on the nose really crisp and clean texture with a really abundant finish
