Having been a fan of Meeker for quite a long time, and visited the tasting room several times, all the way back to when it was in a T-Pee in front of the facility, i just know there is crazy backstory to this Roller Coaster. Kind of a kitchen sink blend, it’s really not typical California, and therefor really distinctive. Not necessarily fruit forward, more like Southern Rhône style. Yes there is plenty of ripe dark fruit, especially black cherry and plum. There is some herbaceous, green garden stuff. Lots of wood. Still drinking young and fresh and fruity.
