  • Confused and muttled. Open and decant 6 hrs before enjoying this blend. Mushroom notes abound. Served with truffle Brie and roasted veggies

  • As mentioned previously Hero opens up on decant and time. If you drink on the PNP you'll miss out on the complexity. I would never expect this blend to be 'smooth', I do not believe that was the intent of the winemaker. Very closed on PNP and opens up in a glass at room temp. Nose of blackberry and forest floor. My cellar is 55F, too cool for this wine due to the bold taste. Once this wine hits 70F it has a nice bouquet of dark fruits, mushroom and smoke. Great QPR at $24.

I bought some Hero(black label) 2020. It doesn't taste like any previous Hero. Perhaps, too young? I'll cellar the 2020 and see if it improves. I really enjoyed this 2018 and hoping for the best with the 2020👍

  • Double decanted for 4 hours before pouring the first glass. Still very tannic and tight, though the neighbors proclaimed it to be delicious. Strong blackberry pie on the nose, consistent with previous tastings. Carried through to the flavor profile, but tannins dominated throughout the evening. Last sip was at about 7 hours from opening. Next time I'm going to decant even longer to try and find a softer side to this wine.

  • Very enjoyable, but as always this needs to be decanted for quite a while. This was a bit closed down when first opened, but after a 2 hour decant it was starting to show some dark berries and chocolate. At 4 hours it was really singing. Good balance.

  • Ok Napa Blend. Lots of red and black berries. Unbalanced towards too much sweetness. Soft oak, vanilla and coco.
This winery now has a terrible marketing stating a 140$ bottle for 40$. Well, its barely worth 20 to 30. Stopped buying them
