Community Tasting Notes (7) Avg Score: 90 points

  • A better impression after 10 months of patience. The mineral steelyness is even more prominent and the fruit is more expressive and just plain tasty. There's a slight sweetness that perfectly lends itself to spicier fare and it has a real sense of quality that wasn't so apparent as a baby. 5+11+17+8= 91

  • I’d previously enjoyed the 2015 offering of this wine. Displays a very consistent “house style”. Pale lemon green color, lighter body. Fresh, crisp, and lively, displaying pronounced acidity, tart grapefruit, lemon peel, spicy juniper, and mineral saline. Aromatic, flavorful, and precise. Complex. Displays a very long finish. Perfect with the chicken pot pie entrée. An excellent Albariño; one of the better and more consistent in the market.

  • Pale lemon color
Medium plus aromas of citrus/ green apple and white florals with pronounced salinity
Medium bodied with palate of ripe citrus and more salinity - palate is linear but with rounded edges
Medium plus acidity and moderate phenolic bitterness and medium alcohol and medium finish
I like the phenolics here - it appears a little bit of skin contact used to accentuate the Albariño's thicker skin - pretty classic for the region and a little on the ripe side
Drinking great now but can also hold 2-3 yrs

  • Double blind tasting
    Pale gold
Aromatics medium +. Creamy yeast note, followed by pear, golden apple and yellow flowers. No new oak
Palate has medium body. Acid medium +. Mild phenolic bitterness. Alcohol medium. Saline, lemons followed by late crisp yellow apples.
Finish has medium + length. Balanced
    Dry glass notes of rock
    Drink now
    Classic example of Albariño.
