Bottle 1 of 2. Pop and pour, very dark about 80% obscure. Nose has caramel, wild blackberry and bush, white pepper, and a hint of cardboard or soap which I sometime get from too young wine. A little concerned this is too early. Decanted rest of bottle.
Palate is juicy and jubilant, lively acid, red currant, fresh tobacco leaf. Finish is a drying, bitter almost like clove.

Medium ruby red in appearance. Herbal nuances coming through on the nose, coriander and some white pepper. More acidity than the Katherine with medium tannins (5.5/10) and a medium minus body. Some orange peel on the palate with a hint of red fruit. Drink till 2027.
