Really very nice wine; lovely balance considering the warmth and drought of the '18 vintage; lovely fruit that shows plum, currant, black cherry with some anise, spice, damp soil, violet. The palate has nice fruit and while there is structure the tannins are well integrated and there is enough acidity and fruit that they are well buffered. Certainly no rush to drink, but it is drinking well now and the fruit is quite nice.

Wanted to try a bottle of this after a disappointing Pommard the night before; this is more like it; shows the ripeness of 2018, but in a good way; plum, cassis, damp earth, hint of violets. The palate is powerful and has structure, but there is enough fruit that it pretty much covers it up. I think this will drink well for awhile, but I do wonder if it will shut down at some point. Likely better enjoyed soon, then maybe again in 5-7 years.

Sure, you could wait and hold this in the cellar. But it is bright and cheerfully ready for your glass now. I found the nose to be ripe cherry and indicative of Pinot, but more mellow, balanced and quite mineral on the palate.

Very primary, oak not yet integrated. Savory and spicy elements peeked through but needs time. Would wait for 5+ years.
