Kendall Jackson (Dan Murphy's, Lane Cove): tending to cherry, black rather than red berry backed by sweet spice, a touch of earth, forest floor here as a well. Juicy, a little fruit sweetness but the fruit is a touch non-delineated, textured grip is slightly drying, alcohol warmth on the finish. Nose nicer than the palate.

Not a remarkable QPR wine, but not offensive. Pale ruby in the glass with fresh red and blue fruits on the nose. A little bit of bite from presumed “efficient” oak aging. Palate is a bit sharp/harsh with medicinal cherry. Balance is a bit disjointed. Medium finish. This is not a bad wine for how mass produced it is.
For a few more dollars, I’d recommend tracking down a bottle of Rodney Strong, Jadot, or Au Bon Climat. Though this wine does mellow out after an hour or so of air exposure

Light in color, dry, oaky. Super light Smokey lingering after taste.

Balanced, heavy for a Pinot.

May have been a bad bottle. Not sure. But either way, not great.
