Drank almost immediately from a narrow decanter. Agree with Colin, this was a little muted. If blind tasted I would have gone that low alcohol, nutty, saline, non-fruited Yarra Valley style, which isnt typically my cup of tea.
Underwhelmed but will take the advice of the room and hold for a few years.

This came good, but wow it needed time. Drunk over about 7hrs with other wines. Initial impression on twist and pour and after short decant were disappointing but tasted best at last tasting at ~7hrs, so I suggest giving it years. Seemed muted on opening, minimal fruit and oak dominant. This pattern persisted, a little stonefruit emerged but this wine was mostly about oak vanilla and spice. Best taste was last sip when sweet vanilla emerged and acidity softened.

SLDS May 2021: Straw, lemon and vanilla on the nose. The palate shows a touch of oak but enough ripe fruit to cover at this stage. Good acidity lends the palate some drive. Pretty good but I wonder where it'll lead in time.

Tasted at vineyard. Already very engaging. Full flavoured and a surprising roundness apparent. Great depth. (The somewhat golden colour provides hints of what you’re getting). The structure is lovely and holds this wine together. Stone fruits, honey and sweet aromatic spices. Can open immediately I think. Ended up purchasing more.

Straw yellow in colour with a depth of flavour that should benefit from a little extra time in the bottle.
