Community Tasting Notes (6) Avg Score: 90 points

  • Beautiful. Aromas of citrus and apples, lemon cream, wood, baking spices, and butter. All in wonderful balance. Creamy and smooth initially on the palate, then the acidity swoops in to left all the flavors and lighten things up. My only knock is that I wish there had been more, better-integrated acidity in this wine. Other than that, it was outstanding. The finish was long, soft, and gently tapering. Very classy.

  • Like this as it comes up to temp where the lemon really starts to shine. Tonight with dinner when it was cool it was a big meh but as the temp comes up I get a lot more minerality, lemon Pledge, and almond.

  • My second bottle and as the first was an 89, and this is a 91, I averaged the scores. The ultimate winebid deal, if the rest drink like this. Minerality, green apples, a little oatmeal, and white flowers. Almost Chablis like in its' flinty personality. It would score much higher if it was larger framed and more intense, but this bottle has perfect balance.

  • Not a big Chard fan so remember that when reading this: Popped and poured, served with dinner. Light yellow color. Like the nose especially as the glass comes up to temp: lemon peel, mineral, slight chemical cleaner smell. Minerals, stone fruit, slight citrus, fair amount of acids, flinty. Still not a huge Chard fan but this is pretty nice.

  • Served as part of a tasting. Seemed to like this more at the end of the night when it had been opened for 5 hours when the bitterness died down. Minerals, citrus over apricot.
