Pale white-yellow colour. The bouquet reveals the precise character of this wine: mineral, stony, but also finely herbaceous. A Riesling that rests like a stone within itself, as if there is much more lurking beneath the surface that will only fully reveal itself after some years of aging. For all its elegance, I would also like to speak of power, athleticism. On the palate, taut, precise and very long lasting. Minerality runs through, flanked by fresh acidity. Stone fruit, grapefruit, perhaps some nut and salted butter.
I could sit here for a long time and probably make many more associations with this wine. What is certain is that there is great potential here: I would touch the 2020 Scharzhofberger “P” again from 2027. With good cellaring, meanwhile, it should be a pleasure well beyond 2040. At the present time DM95+.

97 again, and very easily. Impressive Gardenia jasminoides fragrance and lychee aroma.

24 hours bottle decant at cellar temp.
So perfumed, so nice. This is a beauty that words cannot express.
