Light dusty ruby color, really a dark rose'. Generous bouquet of cherry jam with light notes of cinnamon, flowers, and earthy mulch. I am surprised how smooth and mellow the palate feels, while still displaying plenty of acidity and light tannic grip. I liked this closer to room temp than with a chill, and think it works well with standard Mexican fare- tacos, burritos, tortas, enchiladas, etc. 5+11+16+8= 90
Fun red - really drinks more like a rose. Light, crunchy red fruit, but very flavorful. Really enjoyed this with tortellini in marinara sauce. Nice change of pace wine.

A bit of an odd wine, as expected. Not as expressive as I'd hope, but it did open up significantly with air. Some earthy and crunchy fruit, as expected. None of the "bubblegum" suggestions you hear sometimes about Beaujolais Nouveau. Good stuff, although I'm not sure about the $30 price tag.

100% Cinsault from Zaca Mesa Vineyard...whole cluster, carbonic fermentation...fresh strawberry and raspberry nose...little shy, not really expressive...juicy and somewhat sweet to me, yet not too sweet as there is a nice cherry skin tartness, and some whole cluster tannin...little funk, again great balance with zero alc heat showing...the freshness of the fruit, and some rose floral, is where it's at...chill it and drink it on a hot day!

Enjoyed this again. Good wine to mix in when you've been drinking a lot of hearty wines during the winter.
