Mature, classic, calm appearance, narrow meniscus; complex nose, good depth, with a fresh uplift and high-toned fruit on a warm, spicy and soft Merlot basis; deliciously ripe, rich and fleshy, good weight and sève, firm structure and tannins, strawberries and milk chocolate; excellent length. Delicious.

Classic, rich nose, with the extra depth and richness of 1982 in Saint-Emilion, open and mature, dark and spicy, meat and fruit; flavoursome, rounded, fleshy, ripe acidity and firm tannins, juicy and attractive; on the finish the wine is losing weight - transparent, the minerality is showing and the Cabernet Franc dominates at this stage. Lovely wine but drink up.

Open and mature nose, deep and warm, whiff of the barnyard, soft red fruit, good oak and spice; gentle palate, supple and rounded, shapely, medium weight, nice hint of tannins, flavoursome, nourishing even; good length. A fine Saint-Emilion.
