Good young Riesling, cracking acidity but not completely balanced. 91

  • pale lemon color, at first opening an inviting nose of grapefruit with floral tones, on the palate a mid-weight and less aggressive than the GGs, 6 hours later- the nose has gone a bit quiet but still showing floral notes, on the palate grapefruit, passionfruit, blue slate, a hint of white cherry, fine long lime acids carry through the dryish finish, an aloof saline quality adds to the savory appeal, on the tail end this has some measure of the edgy excitement of its big brothers, this is quite good and I think will benefit from a few more years in the cellar, at a time when the GGs are finally getting their due- with prices to match- this is worth seeking out as not only a QPR find but a genuinely great wine in its own right.

  • OK. Bisschen langweilig. Wir bewerten nicht Inflationär.
