Deserving of the hype. White strawberry and starfruit on the nose. Exciting all around, seemed to lose a little focus after about an hour of being open and warming up. I look forward to purchasing more next year.

Tasted literally blind. Nose is apples, pears, lemon, limes, and lots of mineral. Saline, granite, and slate. Taste is very tart, like a sour sprite. Lemons, limes, pears. Exceptionally light bodied and very acidic. There is a slight upfront sweetness that is completely overridden by the acidity. Short finish with that same minerals profile. I think this is a Pinot Grigio mixed with a bit cool climate Riesling to boost the acidity. The challenging bit here was figuring out was this a quality wine or not. I erred on the side of a quality winemaker since the quality mineral profile was so high.
Blindfold came off, and there is a very pale gold color wine with an orange tint to it. Numerous thin legs form quick and disappear just as quick. Still holding by my guess.
This was a Waits Mast Pinot Noir Blanc. In a way, the Pinot Grigio guess is not far off given the genetic of the two grapes. I am totally conflicted on this wine. It is interesting and good – a good combination for a wine like this.
I am not getting any of the cherry notes that the winemaker or the SF Chronicle said they got. I also can’t help to think that this wine was too safe. Pairing this wine might be challenging due to how acidic it is - I think it will pair best with aged cheeses.

Tasted blind. Very perfumed nose with some fruit and citrus. Good acidity with a simple, fruit forward palate. Not a bad wine, but a bit generic.
