Still funky, still earthy and definitely a bit of spice on the mid-palate -- very subtle, though. I liked the fruit that showed up late to the party, i.e. on the finish, and it has good structure. All-in-all, I really liked this wine and with food it definitely showed its stuff.

Light red in the glass, some amber on the rim. Nose is funky-earthy, iodine-ish. Palate is earthy, slightly austere, a bit of funk. A bit of cherry, sweet vanilla/caramel emerges with some time. One of the more interesting pinots I've had recently. More funk than clean, more earth than fruit. A fine aged CA pinot that is uniquely seductive.

(Calera Pinot Noir Mills Vineyard) Orange and lime nose; tart, weird, orange rind, earthy Pinot, with lime and tart red fruit, high acidity and imbalanced; medium finish (guessed Pinot)
