South African vs Australian Cabernets Zoom blind. Drank in Grassl 1855. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, purple colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of mint, cedar, fresh eucalyptus, cassis, black cherries, black plums, bit of pencil lead. Youthful. On the palate, dry, juicy high acidity, medium+ alcohol, fine structured high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of cassis, chocolate, cedar, licorice, eucalyptus mint, black cherries, black plums, bit of tobacco and graphite to the finish. Pretty long finish with sweet oak cream chocolate lingering. Good quality. Well-made. Keep for another 6-8 years I think.

This is quality. Such a well made wine. Will try again in another 5 years to compare. Up there with Moss Wood.👌
