Just copy and paste the previous tasting note. Really great vintage for pinot, we were just discussing that with friends on WhatsApp as we had each just opened a 2019 red burgundy (village) from Côte de Beaune. This might be the best vintage for pinot in Côte d'Or since 2010, in a very different style obviously, and judging by the quality of villages may be above 2009 too. It's got everything, fruit, richness, balance and depth as well.
I've been tasting and buying Voillot wines since 2006, and the Pommard VV has always been very refined and feminine compared to the Volnay VV, which is more tannic and austere. In blind tasting you would certainly place the Pommard in Volnay and vice-versa, and it's constant so it's not wine-making, it is terroir. 92+ and should age beautifully even if it is very enjoyable today

Atypical for Pommard but a great wine. Very light ruby. Earthy fruity nose. Red currant, cherry, earth, mineral, Pinot funk, and bubble gum on the palate. Med-long finish. A little heat but fine. Not as dense and darker fruit in profile like one would expect for Pommard. Blinded I would have thought Volnay, which is compliment to the quality here. Rebuy.

Agree with prev note Opens a little flat but gets better after 45 min or so. Quite a bit of tannins present. Blackberry, a little pepper. We absolutely love this wine. Will certainly buy more

Nicely balanced, a little flat at first but opens up nicely after a few hours. Moderate tannins, mild acidity, soft fruits up front, followed by some green/stem notes. Tanins last for quite a while and the finish is a little darker fruit.

2019 Joseph Voillot preview, Perrine’s, Atlanta Dark cherry fruit, has a bit more bite than the Volnay v.v. Drinking well right now. Good QPR. 100% destemmed fruit, 20% exposure to new oak, 50 year old vines. 13% alc. First vintage from winemaker Etienne Chaix, and its a winner. 88-91 and worth a try
