On the nose there’s that typical gamay yeasty sour cherry but on the palate it’s just lovely juicy pomegranate and strawberry with medium acidity, very light tannins and it lingers nicely.

Tightly knit and not showing much right now. It’s slightly darker than usual for Lapierre’s wines but there’s still a feminine, floral side to the fruit. The material is solid, but I’d wait another 3-5 years for next hit. The potential is there.

Tasted blind as part of the wine pairing at the excellent The Drunken Butler , London. Frankly our mind went to a Grenache from an SQN wannabe winemaker. Juicy, spice, rich and very aromatic. A fascinating wine in many resects but also one that divided us Nicol giving this an 89 and Andreas a 91. 90

Light color, structure mediocre, typical gamay fruit.

Single parcel wine with older plants. What struck me on this one vs. the regular Morgon is its floral nose. A nice Morgon to look for.
