Reading through the notes here suggesting great bottle variation being noted. Bottle level - low neck. Cork fragmented on removal despite use of a Durand. Nose - strong fruity aroma from bottle --> PnP to glass - beautiful nose of blueberry, blackberry, mint, with a hint of almond (marzipan), and leather. Color - translucent edge --> deep garnet color without bricking. Palate - Black and blue fruits, good acidity, but without a lot of complexity, beyond the fruit, to note on the palate. Mouthfeel - silky, with medium body, and with almost fully resolved tannins ( a touch of mouth dryness noted on finish). Finish is medium length. Wine at maturity with a few years likely yet to go for bottles remaining in very good condition .

drank after around 1 hour in the decanter. Very minty, a little smoky, much more fragrant and complex. Amazingly, the tannins are still here and still coating the tongue. Nice and woodsy nose. Sweet and ripe on the palate.

From a Magnum: Deep, dar k red with virtually black center. No bricking at all. On decanting the bottle an incredibly intense and delicious aroma wafted through the room: Sweet, Dark berries, cedar and all tied together in great harmony. On the palate the wine has wonderful harmony and balance: acidity, fruit and tannins; everything in its right place. A well tuned orchestra playing together. This bottle was much better than the one shared with Marco Brunello about ten years ago. At its apogee, I don't see how it could improve from here. the bouquet was absolutely the best! A unique experience which reinstates my trust in high class Napa Cabs. My wife was over the moon on tasting it and thought it almost be too good for the lunch company we will be sharing it with in two hours. I trust they will appreciate it.

See previous notes for the historical aspect of this wine with me. Purchased from Envoyer on a whim. What would this taste like 15 years later? Bottle inspection outstanding. Perfect fill. Decanted. Whoa. Shockingly good. Beyond all expectations. Fully mature. Nice ruby bricking at the rim. I’m past all the flavor descriptors. I thought it was one of the best Napa cabs I’ve ever had. Great vintage and just under the demarcation when the house lost their shit to Parker. Somebody had lovingly cared for this before dumping it on Envoyer. Drunk over 4 hours and it didn’t drop off one bit. At peak. A beautiful wine paired with Flannery roast.
