PnP. Ruby red. Seductive ripe red-fruit driven nose. Good weight on the palate. Ripe red fruit again. Nice balance. Medium-to-long full finish. Definitely riper and more rounded on the palate than 2016 I had a day before. No rush to drink now.

Haus Klosterberg (Bernkastel-Wehlen) is not classified bc less slate here. S-facing, steep vineyards. 12 mths on barriques (most probably not new). Spontaneous fermentation for 3,5 weeks.
Pretty ruby colour. Punchy attack with a mix of spice and fresh raspberry, candied blackberry
Rounded acidity with fresh- and candied fruit together with some chocolate aromas and a slight lactic feel.
Middle-of-the-road pinot noir of good quality. Has a bit of everything for everyone but didn’t impress me much.
Tasted 16/10-22 with Paula Sidore at Wijnjas (Stockholm).

Their Pinot comes from multiple vineyards with slate soils. Native yeasts. Spends 14 months in French oak barrels. Unfiltered.
Light color. The nose is reticent at first but on the spicy side with a bit of earthiness. After time it opens up to red fruit and floral notes. The palate is all about red cherry fruit up front, then acidity and then it finishes on the savory side. I read an article recently saying Pinots should be judged more like white wines, and this wine reminds me of a white wine in many ways given its soft texture and light body, acidity and salinic minerality. Reminds me more of cool climate, coastal whites and reds from Galicia for example. At the same time, the fruit profile is clearly red and it’s ultimately a fruity wine with the savory components more around the edges.

Nose somewhat muted. Better in the mouth, low to medium volumen, crisp acidity, cherries, some tannic structure. In this version at least, a cold-climate Pinot Noir.

Светлый гранатовый цвет, прозрачное. В аромате красные ягоды, морс, лавровый лист, гвоздика, чуть ваниль, железо, шерсть. Во вкусе среднее тело, высокая кислотность, слабые танины, солоноватое. 88/100
