Delicious. Vinous and rich but not very fruity (very little cherry/berry, which is a bit surprising for 100% PN!). Incredible texture, bone dry, good acidity despite the warm vintage.

Drank to compare this L18 to the newest release which is 2019 base so L19. This was a typical showing for this bottle. This L18 Austral has a vinous, yeasty richness on top of some very distinct herbaceous notes of Mint and Fennel. However, these two distinct elements combine in a manner that is delicious to my palate. I did not care for the newer vintage (base 2019) that was tasted side by side with this. However, my wife had a distinct preference for the newer 2019 vintage.

100% Pinot Noir from the 2018 harvest disgorged 18 October 2020 with zero dosage!
Absolutely lovely with red apple, meyer lemon, lime zest, grapefruit, mixed winegums, peach, yeasty dough, roasted nuts, chalk, clay and minerals. Great and high acidity with lots of freshness and some depth after 2 years in bottle. Super energetic! Slightly saline finish as well.
At ~€50 this is crazy good…

Disgorged in October 2020 with zero dosage. Beautiful golden hue, creamy mousse. Aromatically rich and flavourful, yet so very fresh and distinctly mineral. It was open and inviting directly upon realease and it continues to drink like a charm. Instant pleasure! (Disclaimer: ITB with Swedish importer Vin & Natur)
