Decanted for 2 hrs and enjoyed on outdoor bbq. So lively and joyful, with crunchy red fruits, pure and focused. Although quite easy to drink, there is energy to drive it through a decade.

Bright ruby. Not a very expressive nose - redcurrant, red cherry, rose Turkish delight, something mossy peaking through, violet. Initially very muted flavours beyond a lot of red berries, second day more expressive - pure redcurrant and strawberry well balanced by rhubarb, rosehip, light tannins into a clean, dry finish. Nicely made, fair enough price.

This pours light ruby in the glass. The nose is just a little tight and reduced but there is an underlying 2019 lushness, moderately intense, moderately complex. Quite floral. Aromas are of crushed raspberry, orange peel, wet river rocks, peonies, rose petals, and red cherry. The palate features lovely texture and again that lushness of the vintage. Bright and sweet red fruit on entry, turning to medium minus tannin, and medium plus acid. The finish lingers impressively with lovely orange pith and cinnamon notes. All in all this is just singing tonight and a huge improvement over the last showing I had with this wine. Great value given the current Burgundy market. at $45 CAD.

Decanted for a day. Slightly translucent, nose of sour cherries, licorice root, aniseed, forest floor, cranberries and crushed black pepper. Palate if medium bodied with medium+ acidity, cranberries, stewed strawberries, allspice and cinnamon. Finishes medium length with more tart red fruit. Not too complex, but enjoyable wine anyway.

This pours light ruby in the glass with a pink watery rim. The nose isn’t quite as expressive as other 2019s I’ve had but still quite enjoyable. Aromas are of cinnamon, cherry, mossy undergrowth, new leather, rose petals, and cardamom. The palate enters on cherry and red currant, turning to medium minus tannin and medium acid. The finish is only moderate but quite nice. All in all this is a lovely wine and tremendous value. Impressive to see the well managed 13.5% alcohol, when so many 2019s are higher.
