  • I love the smell of this wine. Cherries, spices, cigar box, rose petals. On the palet the wine shows the same red fruits, cherries and a hint of strawberry, a little tobacco and vanilla. The fruit is a little tart but in a good way and the finish is very dry. This may be the first california nebbiolo that I've had (and my first Viansa) and truthfully I am surprised at how well this bottle shows some classic nebbiolo character. I also like how this wine is made in a very european style and goes well with food. There is still a lot of fine tannin in this wine and I think it could easily go a few more years. I am impressed with this.
