  • All I can say is I wish I'd bought cases of this stuff back when it was everywhere, including Costco and maybe even Trader Joe's. Back then it was about $45, maybe less. Now it's impossible to find and can run up to $200. I love Blanton's and have sentimental attachment to it, but it's not that much better than competing bourbons to me. That's too much for it.

    However, absence makes the heart grow fonder. I don't know if I'll ever see another bottle in a store in my lifetime, but if I do I'm buying it. Not for $200 though. At that price I'll stare at it wistfully but buy an equally good competitor for less.

  • Nose - Citrus, caramel, vanilla, light spice. Palate - Raisins, caramel, orange zest, light spice. Surprising faint floral notes. Finish - Burnt brown sugar, vanilla. Longer finish.
