Intense citrus nose, minerals, bitter gurd, pear. Laser palate that is also generous enough. Low dosage (3gr) feeling on the finish. This not too lean and can please a broader group as well as connoisseurs.

This is very beautiful, even at this young age. Give it time to open and warm up, and it will become a bit more vinous and a bit fuller. 15 is a slightly warmer year, perhaps the reason why it appears a bit fuller and more vinous than I remember from the other vintages.

Disgorged Feb 2022. Pale yellow gold. Supremely balanced melange of yellow citrus and nuttiness, nicely broad but not too weighty. Just a fantastic representation of my favorite parts of the Cote des Blancs.

Olive Garden Party (Cristal vertical) (Chicago, IL): Definitely not my style of champagne, though this is richer than most Agrapart. Still, this is surprisingly lean for a vintage that I always though was quite ripe (and hoping to be similar to 2009). Mostly tart fruit, but a pleasant underlying chalkiness as well.

I thought the wine was really nice, well balanced with typical chardonnay notes of green apple and lemon. Balanced dosage in my wheelhouse at 3g/L. However, the precision and detail of the Venus in 2015 is in my opinion worth the big step up. I didn't feel that this wine much outperformed the mineral for example
